Cool. If for some reason you guys do'nt get around to co-op together, I'd be willing to be your co-op gimp erh partner. With a little bit of luck I'll have forgotten the 'clue' of most of the co-op puzzles by then anyway.

Re: Portal 2
Finished the co-op campaign with a friend. Some of the puzzles were spicy, as you're basically playing with 4 portals instead of 2, but again great fun. Totally GOTY so far.

Some pics I took and forgot to post, nothing too spoilery.

Cool pics... love the signs, especially the paradox one. Well, and the smell one too. If that a freaking potato attached to your portal gun?

Re: Portal 2
yeah, don't ask. Well, at least you know now why there was a potato-themed ARG before the game's launch.

Re: Portal 2
As you all know I loved Portal 2 and you should all totally play it
But on another note...one guy (Gary Hudson) hired level designers to make a Portal 2 mod that would end with a marriage proposal for his girlfriend Stephanie. They even got Ellen McLain (who does Glados' voice) to participate in the mod. The result is probably one of the coolest and most original marriage proposals ever. Enjoy.

The new DLC is out. It's also on sale for 50% off, so I snagged 2 copies (the second for Shiny)

Re: Portal 2
Coolio. Enjoy it, it's one of my favorite games this year, maybe even my favorite in general. I started playing the new co-op DLC with the friend I did the co-op campaign with before, and it's a skullbreaker. Still, we made some decent progress already.

Re: Portal 2
I'm playing the single-player now... working my way through the past, if you know what I mean. Good stuff... love the story. At first I was like "it's over already!?". But yea.
Still waiting for a chance to play co-op with Shiny.

Wheatley is awesome.
P.S. Shiny may probably want to play the singleplayer campaign before the co-op one, I think that may prevent a lot of "what is going on" frustration along the way.

Yea, I've tried to tell her that, but I don't think she listens.

So, you finished it...Wheatley is awesome, right? He was the star of Portal 2 afaic. But the entire game is so polished, so well-designed...I found it hard to find a fault with it (like I said yesterday). It's still GOTY 2011 for me, edging out Witcher 2. The ending (turret opera) was a really fitting epilogue, and I liked the whole 'origins' storyline - Cave Johnson and his crazy plans and demise - a lot too. The goo parts were probably the high points of the game for me.
I don't know if you tried it, but sometimes when Glados or Wheatley are telling you to do something, you can just refuse it and they'll react to that - often with reams of additional dialogue. When Wheatley turns 'evil' the best parts are when he tells you to kill yourself. One part, he tries to crush you and you run away and he'll yell 'come back!!'. If you DO stop and go back, he'll go 'oh you came back...well uhm I didn't really plan for this. Why don't you, erh, jump into that bottomless pit right here?'. If you do THAT, you'll hear him say something like 'oh well that was easier than I expected. Didn't think you'd do that, but great!' as you fall to your death.
There are so many similar 'hidden' jokes in the game, it's worth testing them out.

Yea, it's a good game. There's one part where you can get into an office you normally wouldn't go into that gets you an achievement and some additional dialog. Lots of little stuff like that sprinkled about the game.
