There's a preview review up on ars technica. Basically, the guy was pretty underwhelmed by the game. too bad. But not exactly surprising. I still hope it does well, despite the fact it's not uber-awesome. He also played the xbox 360 version, not the PC version, so some of his quibbles over frame rate and graphics will, hopefully, not apply to the PC.

True, tech and gameplay-wise Duke3d wasn't very impressive, but it was fun.
