The worst thing about survival is the lack of achievement. And I don't mean achievementS. It's just not that rewarding to work towards your inevitable demise when you're used to make grand narrow escapes after a thrilling campaign of about an hour with you and your friends looking out for eachother.
Campaign: starts out slow-ish, gets gradually more frantic and ends on a high
Survival: starts out frantically, stays that way, then ends that way. End is always a bit of a let down (being dead and all).
It's more something for the kiddies who have endless time on their hands, low amounts of jade and a need to prove their virtual penis is biggers than others'.
Anyway, check this: a campaign/maps mod project based on the Dawn of the Dead mall.

Shiny and I are out of town, so we won't be participating.

Sorry dudes - I was at a wedding yesterday. And I have even worse news: as of tonight I'll be hopping a plane to Malta for two weeks...so that's me out for the next two weekends. Wanted to warn you earlier but I was rather busy travelling to London and back, working in between to finish stuff at work before going to holiday and attending that wedding and getting wasted and ogling my now married cousin's hot in-laws.
So yeah, I will try to find an internet cafe now or try to leech some off someone else, but L4D is out of the question. I hope I don't get withdrawal symptoms.
"OMG zombie leg! *hits* Whoops...sorry dude"*
Hehehe...sorry Derfmeister. Even if you play the next 5 times without a single FF incident you'll still have to hear this shit, so I say: let loose.

hehe, no worries ox, we'll keep the FF flag high and proud . We still got 4 people as long as derf fixes his damn connection.

My wireless connection is well and truly fucked. I have no idea how to fix it, so there's a chance there could be no L4D for me this w.e.

Peltz and I ( and o'cram momentarily) tried to rush Dead Air on public.
Went rather badly. Didn't end up finishing the finale, which took up probably 70% of our time.
I think we put it down to us sucking too much.

lol....what difficulty? Expert? Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but without Satis to cover your back (and occasionally shoot you in the back) I can't say I'm surprised. Today is a busy day for Shiny and I, but perhaps tomorrow we can reconvene the clankiller l4d group and do some murdering.

Missed zombie carnage. Soldier Rinox (aka Francis) reporting, up and ready for further adventures!

yea, today was wasted with cleaning up from the party for me, and Shiny doing her stupid baby shower thing. Oh well, maybe next week then. Unfortunately school starts up for me soon. If the volume of homework is high it may affect my playing abilities.

The first full user-made campaigns are starting to appear for L4D
Death Aboard is supposed to be one of the better ones so far - it's a 5-map campaign.
I'm downloading it right now. Anyone up for a game this weekend? I should be home most of the time...I could potentially just start up a game as host and have you guys download the map(s) from me, but it's probably a lot easier if you all download and install the thing yourself first or we might face a looooong loading time for everyone.
(there are instructions on how to install on the website)
Other campaigns in the works that are not finished yet:

yea, I spent a good 2-3 minutes looking for those installation instructions with little luck. I'll just wing it if I'm around tomorrow. I have c++ homework to do, but other than a massage and working out I don't really have anything else to do.
