Post New kind of ape
There have been reports of a different sort of ape wandering a part of Congo for a while now, and in today's newspaper there's a pic of one of them caught by some african ppl...too bad I can't scan it in, and can't find the pic online yet. Anyhoo, it looks like a really freaking big chimpansee. The one they caught is supposed to be over 2 metres tall and weighs over a 100 kilos. The local ppl call them the 'Lion-killers', which isn't surprising if you know that a standard chimp is already a powerhouse. I think I'm gonna go to africa, hunt one down and use train him up as my personal bodyguard. I'll call him James and make him wear a bow tie, too.

Related, older story here:

http://edition.cnn.com/2003/TECH/scienc ... index.html

Now I wish I was in Roman times, where they'd capture wild animals and let them fight eachother in the Circus. I'd like to see this monsters take on a bear. Or have an elephant fight a rhino. Who wouldn't wanna see that?

I'd just want to see it kill some Christians, personally.

*loads shotgun* Die Bitch!

Anyway, back on track, ya I heard about these a few days ago, basically, from what I recall, they are incredibly vicious. Maybe they've been around for a while and these are the "big foot" sightings?

erm,....bigfoot was sited in the US in like Montana or something. Ie, someplace really cold. I doubt a chimp could survive a winter with 4 feet of snow.

Then again, evolution is odd. Perhaps they are related.

All bigfoot sightings were done by drunk lumberjacks.
No way such a huge animal can remain without any evidence in such a populated part of the world.

You ever been to Montana? I wouldn't call it populated. :)

lol about the Belgians thing. How long can a Belgian truly survive in Africa? I give them about a day (till their beer runs out).

History: we (Belgium) have had our own colony in Africa (Zaire - Congo). So there are lots of belgians that have lived in Africa for years. A lot of religious people btw. And a crazy aunt of my gf.

Montana might not be very populated, but in the western world, even such regions are watched by people, environmental wackos for example. I doubt anything big can go about there unnoticed.

And Congo is nothing compared to Indonesia. :P

No Africa for me...why would anyone wanna move to some freaking wasteland when I live in on of the best climates of the world? (i.e., moderate without hurricanes and shit) Beats me. :)

Ive heard of a similar case related to another chimp. This one was documeted and released on a TV documentary. It wasnt the one youre talking about. This chimp had very human characteristics not only physical form (he walked on 2 feet) but also had very human-like behaviour. I forget the name of the chimp. But anyway, this ones famous because he is a mystery and they found him like this monster in the jungle or wherever.

Some say it was an experimental cross-breed. Others say hes just a mutant.

all monkeys should be shot. Followed by all Frenchmen and all Belgians. Make the world a cooler place. Anything that pretends to be human freaks me out.
