Your city
Ok, I'm bored, so i thought i'd start a new topic about the cities where we live, or near to. I don't live in Antwerp myself as such, but in a village close to it. Been going to school/uni there whole my life, so i know it like the back of my hand.
Here we go
The cathedral and environments
Het Steen (small fortress in the harbor)
the statue up front is that of Lange Wapper, one of Antwerp's 'mythological' figures
De Meir (long shopping street)
Grote Markt (Central Square)
The statue of the man throwing a huge hand is that of Brabo. He was a Roman soldier who cut off the hand of the giant that demanded toll from merchants that sailed over the Schelde (river where the harbor is at) and threw it into the river. Myth, of course.
City Hall on central square
Stadswaag
http://www.aviewoncities.com/gallery/sh ... p&tpe=city
I used to spend a lot of time here a few years ago. Many bars.
Groenplaats
http://www.aviewoncities.com/gallery/an ... plaats.htm
More or less the central point of the city. I am here a lot, not because of the place itself (not that it sucks, but hey), but because this is a good central point to get to other places.
The Zoo
I LOVE the zoo! Posting pics would be kinda redundant, just check out their site
http://www.zooantwerpen.be/
Central Station
I like to hang out there, without really riding the train. Just watching everyone come and go.
the inside:
Rooseveltplaats
Spend tons of time here, waiting for the #é''{# bus.
And of course, de Kulminator

Wtf, Plano? That's where Armstrong grew up! Maybe you're living in his former house or something. Isn't he an honorary citizen or summit?
That's one goddamn freak building. It almost looks unreal. Are there ppl living in the yellow glowing orb?
A retake of a pic i posted now, but with an arrow to which bus stop I am at...if you're planning to stalk me.

I have no Idea what he is doing. I really don't. Walsall is full of freaks. I was prolly one of them, But the only body writing i did was drawing on the back of my hand durin class.
Oh, and I delivered news papers. From 3 days after my 13th Bday, till i was 16.
Time For a history lesson.
The "walsall football club" play at bescot stadium. (see attachement)
Bescot stadium is a "new" ground. Here is the story.
I lived in chuckery. Wasall used to play there, but residents complained. So after some deliberation, The bought some land from a man who owned a laundrette or something. This man was (as best as I know) my Great grandad, or something simular. They built and named the park in his honour, as fellows park. They then eventually built a new bigger stadium, just accross the road, named bescot park. There is a stand their, "fellows stand". And her I am today, Steven Fellows, and I hate football. And laundrettes.

w00t, that's a pretty sweet story! Having a stadium (or a stand, lol) named after your family, damn! The only things my family gets named are, well, you get the picture.
Fellows park ahoy!

lol. My mom also know's some famous peoples, or relations to them.
She went to Ozzy ozbournes 18th Birthday party.
She dated an old aston villa player.
She (and I've been there) know's where Neil Moresy's parent's live.
She chipped some singer's tooth... (i'll find out who)
I'll ask her who else she knew or has met.

Lol, I doubt he was famous. Maybe played in local's etc. And Neil Moresy (not sure on spelling) is "Tony" in "Men Behaving Badly", He voiced over a show called "Morph" which was a little skit like thing which played durin Tony Heart's Art show, and later became it's own series (hmmm... something about the name tony) he also is the voice of Bob the builder.
He was in Up and Under... Hmmm.
The spelling is Morrissey.
http://www.menbehavingbadly.com click cast then tony.
He's my favourite Charachter in MBH, just because he's so stupid. like me.
Alternatively, Click Here

Damn, Melbourne looks pretty cool! I thought it was kinda a small city thing, but judging by the skyscrapers etc. it's HUGE lol. And I wish I had such a huge lunapark near me. Cool stuff Suga. Btw, is the river some kinda aboriginal name? Cos Jarra sounds plain weird
