khooker
What is khooker? It shows up when you ctrl + alt + del. I looked on google for it and it looked like a keylogger or spywear or whatever.

Did some websearching too, what I found was
Khooker
KHooker.exe
(Silicon Integrated Systems – SiS)
SiS Keyboard Daemon. System Tray utility which gets installed by the drivers of the latter day SiS VGA cards. The utility itself is not of much use in our opinion and may occasionally be contributing to Windows startup problems, although we have not been able to establish this for certain.
Seems like it's some kinda pointless utility thing.

The following information was provided by Andy:
khooker.exe assigns a task to a letter on the keyboard. It is not necessary for a running OS. Even on some OS this little program causes a alarm message or a "crash".
Remove it in task manager and look for (regedit) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
There search for an entry like hooker.exe and delete it.
At least delete the program in /system32, too.
But I can"t admit one"s responsibility! Save your registry before this procedere. Good luck.

heh, no, I copied and pasted that off a website. I thought the reg key was somewhat helpful (standard location for all startup programs, of course).

lol.
I've got a couple of bastards running around my registry, one of them is "mixer.exe"
It's from Cmedia's Audio rack, I uninstalled the program *Their uninstall didn't work had to do it through control panel* and the mixer.exe still starts up, just there is no program with it. Sometimes it opens up a task bar button to, which even though you can right click then close it, it wont actually close, or do anything, untill you end the process.
