Okay got a problem: can`t start up my internet explorer the normal way.
If i click the shortcut (the blue e), it says there has been an error and i have to restart the program.

I thought i had downloaded i virus (stupid me) because my computer went berserk when i looked into an attachment (which i presumed clean), it created a blue screen with some lines (too fast away to read) and shut down.

I restart: can`t open my IEXPLORE.exe
strangly enough i can access internet through my msn, that`s why i`m able to post here. i scanned for virusses (only, symantec server) and it was clean.

so --> wtf? any suggestions

you guys all know i`m computer-ignorant so .. any suggestions?

if it's XP than IE is part of Windows... basically, you can't just reinstall it. IF it's not XP but something prior, then you should be able to get the newest version of IE (IE 6) and reinstall it over top. That should probably get it.

However, I'm sure you're using XP. So...

just do this:

that'll reinstall it. You need the WinXP CD.

Just updated a lot of crap from my windows, i guess it overwrote my iexplore to a newer version like you said satis. good job.
