OMG! I just started my first ever baldurs gate one game (well, I started it a while ago, but then never played it well till tonight) HOW DAMNED HARD?! Help! Are there any good places to level up? I have Jahera, Imeon (dead) and Khalid, and I'm slowly working my way through the mines, found a few side places etc, but damned its hard...

If you're not feeling up to it yet, just run around the countryside. Stay in the areas roughly in the center and you'll be fine... the ones on the edges of the map can get tough. Really depends, though. Anyway, there are tons of minor quests and baddies everywhere on those maps. Have you found the chicken yet?

i aint found much yet to be honest, And I will, I just killed that idiot in the mines, but there seems to be more to go, at least i got some experience higher than 4 for killing him. Though I am carrying some ones dagger to give to them, care to let me in on his location?

Did you get some guys greenstone ring? you can return that for exp as well. And how come you only got 4 people in your party? i mean you must have gone through bereghost and naskel were you find several NPC's like minsc, edwin, some bard, some dwarf.

and really bg1 is a LOT thougher than bg2.

lol, I have 5 now, and its more through choice, because I wanna get some decent level ups, and I got a load for taking that persons stuff back, the one with the spiders in the house but then she still says come back if you have any more of my stuff, but I'm pretty sure I took everything she asked for, and now all she says is "its that group of heros" or something like that...

Dont rush into the main plot. Try and do little errands for gold and xp.

thats what I am doing, right now im scouring the mines for some body belonging to Joseph to get his ring for this woman, but I can't find it despite looking up its location, and I have a greenring, which is what I need, but she wont accept it

if my memory is incredibly accurate, you find the greenstone ring when you enter the 3th (?) floor. It`s almost impossible to mis

and i would advice to get a party of 6, although it can be a bit annoying if you don`t know exactly what to do to keep them. i remember that dwarf with const 20 (kagain?) running out on me just when i was getting my butt kicked. i can tell you -> NOT funny.

and really, get minsc he rocks

i'm up to 5, like i said, and I know its on the third floor. But it's just not appearing, which is annoying. I've searched the whole place top to bottom. It's not there. I do However, have the (type) of rind she is after, but she just wont have any of it. Annoying woman.

yea, it has to be that specific ring.

Oh, one word of advice, keep plenty of saves going. Last time I played BG1, a scripted event failed to trigger and I had to reload a LONG time prior. Just FYI.

Dunno of you`re playing ToTSC as well, if you are i would strongly advice to patch it. Friend of mine got into durlag`s tower (if anyone remembers the fight with the 4 dwarves) and they just kept respawning due to some weird bug.

Oh mole, did you find the ring of wizardry in front of candlekeep (probably NOT ), that ring is really great

it's not in front of candlekeep, it's in front of the Friendly Arm Inn at the base of a tree. But it's not there if you patch BG1.

The hidden pearl and Ankheg armor is still in the Nashkell fields, though.

That body definatly aint there, so I dunno what the hecks gunna happen about that, prolly nothing. I found that hen thing, gotta take her to some tower west of beregost, unless its that High Hedge Place, i have no idea where it is.... Meh, I'm getting there, I got one charchter to level three finally... Imeon though...
