That's awesome. They better hurry up with perfecting that shit so we can get past all this climate shit. I'm as terrified of climate change as I am annoyed by the people fighting over it. Let's just invent clean endless energy and get it over with, so we can fight about something else.

I'm totally on board. Investing a few billion into fusion energy would be worth it if we can shed all the fossil fuels as a result.

Yeah but what about all those poor fossil fuel companies? Who's gonna buy their shit then and make money for the shareholders?

The sad reality is probably that because of their lobbying power any serious investments in fusion will be held back while we burn through as much fossil fuel as we still can...not that I'm a cynic or anything

Ugh... we have member of our Congress that are still fully gung-ho on coal... and we've known how dangerous coal is to humanity since the industrial revolution. Money trumps doing the right thing every time.
