Not exactly a big deal but thought Satis might be interested. Anyone else find they don't stay logged in all the time on here? I always tick the box but as I have the main page saved as a pinned tab, it doesn't update when I first open up Firefox. So I refresh to see if there's anything new and 9 times out of 10 it logs me out.

I get logged out maybe once a year. Could be somekind of browser cache issue.

Yeah could well be, it's Firefox I'm using and don't bother doing much maintenance on it. It's not a huge deal, just thought if it is site side, Satis would want to know. (That almost turned into a tongue twister)

Hmm, weird. I haven't actually updated this forum in... err... a really really long time. If it's recently changed behavior, it's probably due to the browser.

Honestly, PHPbb has not aged well. Even newer version are really, really dated looking. If it didn't mean losing all this history, I'd be tempted to write a replacement from scratch. Seeing as this is what I do for a living (sorta), why not? I may still do it... I could probably extract all these old posts and stuff and make them visible/searchable. Hmmm. Not something I'll do in the near future.

New forum from scratch sounds like a lot of effort. Probably only worth it if you can become a .com millionaire off selling it.
