Re: Good films..
Finally watched The Rise of Skywalker this weekend...it was decent to good I guess. It felt like they were really trying to make up for all the balls that The Last Jedi dropped and that it ended up hurting the quality of the movie and story, though. But I was entertained enough to not regret having watched it. Just glad this trilogy is over, and I hope they just stop making Star Wars films now...I think there is nothing new to add or say anymore, especially if you're seeking to just get box office success.

No more Star Wars films!? Heretic! Burn him!
I hope they stop making Star Wars films that revolve around the Skywalker legacy. Oh so much more ground to cover.

Re: Good films..
Is this where I get banned because I've only watched episodes 1 - 3 (and that was because a friend insisted he educate me and get the 'worst' ones out of the way)?

Re: Good films..
I still have some Star Wars movies recorded that i still need to watch. And frankly i have no idea which one comes first. Not sure even if i've seen 1-2-3 fully. I'm only sure about IV-V-VI obviously. Sorry if you're shocked now.

Re: Good films..
Well i've seen the Skywalker saga plus the rogue one and solo 'origin'. While i like them a bit more than average, i've never felt the mad fandom of the series. I have a colleague though who is way beyond ridiculous into the SW universe. Just the other day he was talking about some character and I was like ..we might need some professional help here. My favourite Space Opera is still without a doubt Babylon 5. But i must say I really enjoy Star Trek Voyager. Probably because both lead actors in both series portray a person whose qualities are to strive for.

Re: Good films..
I really like the episode where the doc took control of her body, while they and ensign Kim were incarcerated. Her portrayal of the theatrical behavior of the doctor was brilliant. But no she is not the main reason.

Re: Good films..
So obviously the original Star Wars trilogy is good... a New Hope because it started everything, Empire Strikes Back because it's a genuinely awesome movie, and Return of the Jedi was a bit of a mixed bag but had some great combat in it.
The prequel trilogy I think was ok. The Phantom Menace was (imo) probably the worst. Though you got some good stuff like Darth Maul and Duel of the Fates, you also got Jar Jar and child Anakin. Attack of the Clones wasn't particularly great either... on a positive side you get the end battle on Geonosis and some pretty cool lightsaber fights, as well as Anakin's slow slipping to the dark side. On the other hand you get all the terrible politics, Padme and Anakin's lame romance, etc. However, I really liked Revenge of the Sith. That movie started with a really strong space battle and pretty much kept rocking afterward. I think it's one of the best Star Wars movies.
The sequel trilogy I haven't watched enough yet to pronounce sentence on. There's some pretty terrible stuff in there, but I do like Daisy Ridley and many of the other main actors. I also actually enjoy the Kylo Ren / Rey dynamic and some of the other personal interplay. The trilogy as a whole had some serious pacing and continuity issues, though... among other things.
Rogue One was, imo, freaking amazing. I'd love to see more of that. Also among my top favorite Star Wars movies. Solo was alright... there were some really bright spots, but some parts could've been way better. *shrug* I still like Star Wars as a whole.

Re: Good films..
So, I watched Robert the Bruce... oof... that was a slow movie. Not bad, but long and without much action. Still... if you like depressing Scottish movies, I guess it works.
Also watched Tenet....I liked it. It wasn't amazing, but it was good enough to keep me interested. I'd give it a watch.

Hah, you got to see Tallinn then. The scene with the Saab was shot on Laagna road and the "secret building" is our art museum.

Re: Good films..
Did you watch it in a drive in cinema or is it available on streaming services already? It looks like a proper mindfuck.
