Re: Borderlands 2
That actually looked...kind of awesome, haha! Sure Satis liked the dubstep music (that is dubstep innit?)

Re: Borderlands 2
Yea... did you notice the part where it says "100% more wub wub" (or something like that)? that's a dubstep reference.

Re: Borderlands 2
I didn't notice no, but I'm already happy I recognized this dubstep when I heard it for once.

Re: Borderlands 2
Hijacking this old thread because I didn't want to make a new one I'm currently playing Tales From the Borderlands, the Telltale game set in the Borderlands universe, and I'm really digging the tone and humor and setting. I never played Borderlands 1 and 2 so I went in mostly blind (except for the things I'd read here and in other places) and was very pleasantly surprised. I know some of you here played the games before so I wanted to ask if they're equally fun and interesting in terms of characters and worldbuilding? And ultraviolent. Any input? I saw that the pack for all the Borderlands games and DLC is relatively cheap so might as well buy it if it's on sale if the games are half as fun as Tales from the Borderlands.

Not really. The novelty wears off quick.

Re: Borderlands 2
I don't know, it gets kind of repetitive. Borderlands 2 isn't too bad.. there's some really great dialog and stuff, but don't get bogged down in grinding and whatnot. This is my own opinion, of course... some people love that crap.

Re: Borderlands 2
Well, those aren't exactly glowing recommendations haha. Echoes what I heard from non-CK people though...so maybe I'll just keep Tales from the Borderlands in my head as a fond memory and not dip my toe into the actual Borderlandswaters. On that note, looks like there won't be a sequel to Tales from the Borderlands: https://thenextweb.com/gaming/2018/09/2 ... -possible/RIP

Re: Borderlands 2
I never really cared for those games (that whole style), so I'm not too hurt by it. Sucks for people that dug it though... I'm curious what actually happened to cause Telltale to implode like that. Something fishy, I'm sure.
Regarding Borderlands 2.. the dialog from Handsome Jack is actually really great. Playing the game was worth it to me just because of the dialog.

Re: Borderlands 2
Yeah Handsome Jack is pretty much the highlight in Tales from the Borderlands too. Gems like these:

If you do decide to buy it, do call, i'll run backup/overwatch for you. And I'll follow your lead, however you want to play.

Re: Borderlands 2
Thanks man. I think I'll opt out though, if it's really as grindy as you say. I got plenty of games to play (and plenty of interesting games I still want to buy and play first at some point). @ Satis Butt Stallion makes a cameo in Tales from the Borderlands, actually. You should really give it a spin, it's a ton of fun.

Re: Borderlands 2
Not a fan of the tales games, so no thank you. I am, however, concerned with why the chick in your video shot butt stallion. WTF?! Leave the goddamned horse alone!

Re: Borderlands 2
You don't approve of shooting (presumed) statues of horses either? To my credit, in my own game I decided to not shoot the horse (but picked the other option instead). So you may call me a monster for enjoying a good horse steak once in a while, but can't put that equicide on me.
