Re: E3 2018 game announcements
Figured I'd use this thread for a few new game announcements at the Game Awards this week:
Rage 2Wasn't a huge fan of the original Rage (although it was definitely enjoyable), but it looks like they're taking things to a whole other level with the sequel. At least if you believe the trailer, which we shouldn't.
Great stuff though. Out May 2019
Dragon Age 4Just a teaser trailer, and not much info (it's still very early in development). I haven't played any of the Dragon Age games since the original (which was great), so I doubt I'll pick this one up any time soon.
HadesThe newest game by Supergiant games (Bastion, Transistor, Pyre). All of their games have been really sleek with great gameplay, so expecting this one to be pretty good too. It's already available in early access on Epic Games' exclusive online store. Which makes me dread this game's future a bit, but hey.
Far Cry: New DawnFar Cry goes post-apocalypse. Looks like someone took one of the previous fallout games and merged it with a very colourful mad max, wich is not bad at all. Not really my bad but if you're into the series this will definitely scratch your itch.
The Outer WorldsThe big one, as far as I'm concerned! Obsidian's newest franchise, a 1st person RPG set in a scifi western sort of setting, with a serious dose of zaniness. The artwork looks great, knowing Obsidian the RPG elements will be fleshed out and I love the setting. This is one I'm looking forward to, as it's headed by the makers of the original fallout games and arcanum, some of my favorites of all time.
