Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
My enthusiasm was short lived. I mistook it for another game. I actually own this game already on steam. What I thought i was picking up was UFO: Extraterrestrials. Duh.

Oh, thankfully. I only have maybe 50 games left in my queue.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Yeah, pretty disappointing again. I'm looing at my wishlist which features games that are mostly 1 to 2 years old...only 3 games below 8 euros. And I got 33 on there. /cheap bastard I guess I'll just keep trucking on with the ones I already have and have yet to play. Maybe I'll pick up some of the cheaper ones, though. We'll see. Just had to pay my taxes so not too keen on spending cash.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
I picked up SPAZ 2 and Assault Android Cactus. The latter turned out pretty meh... not yet sure about SPAZ 2.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Well, the main character is... and Android. Named Cactus. It's also an assault android, or something. Yea, ok, I probably should've figured it wasn't so great. But the original Space Pirates and Zombies was pretty decent, with a stupid name.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Dang... missed it. Be a lot.
I've been slowly working my way through my Steam backlog recently. Lots of terrible games... and a few not so bad.
Ellipsis - not bad little puzzle-type game. Dusty Revenge - Terrible side scroller. Eidolon - Omg boring. It's one of the "walking simulator" type games. Dust: An Elysian Tail - RPG of sorts. Got to become more and more of an annoying platformer, so I scrapped it after about 6 hours. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate - It's fine. More Assassin's Creed stuff. Door kickers - Dumb name. It's basically a SWAT team simulator where you gear up your people and shoot terrorists or whatever. It's a 'top-down' type thing. I enjoy it, but your mileage may vary. Dungeon Defenders - It's one of those first person tower defense games like Orcs Must Die. It's alright. I may try playing it with Shiny. Space Pirates and Zombies 2 - Yea... not digging this at all. I may have to start over from the beginning and give it another shot. Dungeonland - OMG it's absolutely terrible. Day of the Tentacle - Blech. Not my kind of game at all. Dear Esther - The original walking simulator or something. Imagine taking boredom, adding some boredom and then taking a boredom pill. The Darkness II - this was surprisingly really good. First person shooter where you harbor a demon or satan or something in your body that gives you some crazy abilities. Worth checking out. Dangerous High Scool Girls in Trouble - OMG terrible. some sort of card-type game or something. Blah. Carrier Command: Gaea Mission - There may be a good game hiding in here. I wasn't able to find it. Ballpoint Universe - Yea, not really for me. Rather difficult to figure out what to do or where to go. Chroma Squad - Horrible 8 bit game. 7 Grand Steps - holy jesus this game was horrific. Some weird board-game type game... I don't really understand it. 2064: Read Only Memories - Yea... just couldn't get into this at all. Caveblazers - A roguelike cave game thing. It's ok if you like roguelikes. Not really one to keep my attention. Capsized - side scroller. I'm not really into this kind of game, so it didn't gake long for my to get bored of it. Xcom 2 - Finally played this game to completion. Honestly, I didn't really care for it. I don't know... I think it's too cartoony.
There was more, but I can't recall them all. *shrug*

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Yea. I think it came as part of a humble bundle or something. Mostly I'm trying these games that I figure will suck to see if they have Steam trading cards Occasionally I'm surprised when the game is pretty decent.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Already own it, thanks for the heads up otherwise man I really feel like if I never spent any money on games I could have picked up some amazing (older) games by now, at the rate they're giving them away for free. Like Satis I'm slowly working through my backlog but I already made a selection of games I'm not likely to give a shit about. Now it's down to like...20 games. Couldn't bring myself bto buy any games during the Halloween sale but definitely putting a budget aside for the Christmas one.
