I do understand Peltz' point, the Steam christmas sale has become decidedly less impressive in recent years. I mean 4 years ago it was 80% discounts all over the place, now you're lucky to see a 40% one for a game that's more than a year old.

Having said that, it's probably a consequence of Valve and the publishers better understanding the impact of the sales. And the sales are still pretty great, just not as great as they used to be. So maybe we shouldn't complain too much.

I'm gonna set aside a budget for myself and go on a Steam sale raid later today.

Doubted a very long time whether I should buy the Pillars of Eternity expansion (part I and II) but I decided against it as 14 euro seemed pretty steep, and the discount was "only" 40%. So maybe it'll be better soon...hopefully.
