Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff It doesn't actually work like that. I tried trading cards with Shiny because she had one I needed and it wouldn't let us without a 15 day wait period. Both of us have been on Steam for... a decade? More? Unless it's different if you've verified your account, I suppose.
It's not a huge deal. I can turn the gems into booster packs, which turn into cards that will last the 15 necessary days. It's just annoying. I understand the security benefits of 2 factor authentication, but requiring the installation of a mobile app is stupid imo. They should offer a choice between email notification, text message, or a dedicated app.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff Huh, ok. Do you use the mobile authenticator? The 1970 date isn't surprising. It's 0 in unixtime, essentially. Kinda silly that they couldn't make that field a bit more intelligent, but it's not like it really matters.
I did end up getting all the cards I needed to make the badge, so this trading thing is all moot anyway. It was just annoying to me. I hope Steam doesn't go down the path of more and more annoying with time.
