US 2020 Presidential Election
Want to take a poll to see which presidential candidate (of the freaking 5000 that are running) you believe closest to? Apparently I agree with Bernie Sanders at 97%. Weird. But I won't be voting for him, since I realize our two party system is broken as hell and they're all just a bunch of freaking liars.

Re: US 2016 Presidential Election
Was hoping for an unexpected "Donald Trump" outcome, but... Bernie Sanders 97% (oh hello Satis) Hillary Clinton 85% Joe Biden 82% Martin O'Malley 71% Anyone below that is immediately 36% and lower...and Republican. Looks like Bernie Sanders would be the next president of the US if it was up to all of us. Which probably means he is the candidate of good reason, which in turn gives him a 0% chance of winning this.

or a 100% chance of being a liar who would immediately renege on all his campaign promises. I may be getting bitter in my old age.

Re: US 2016 Presidential Election
Haha. Hey, is the black Republic guy still in pole position for the rep ticket? Or did they find some outrageous lie or action from the past to screw him with (happens to almost every candidate at some point)?

Flavours?
Well, the democratic candidate will likely be Hillary Clinton, for a lack of strong challengers.
In the republican camp there is the usual mix of ultraconservatives, libertarians and wealthy industrialists seeking to dismantle the country further for their own benefit. Hard to tell who's gonna win it there.

Re: US 2016 Presidential Election
Lol... yea, I think Hillary is in on the Democratic side, though who knows. Republican side is a lot more animated, but I think it's Donald Trump and Ben Carson running up front. Both or total morons, imho. I won't get into all the ways all of those candidates are complete losers, because it just depresses me. I'll be voting for someone in neither of the two major parties, I guess.

It's only a matter of time before we see a news report of a "deranged Texas man" shooting up a polling place. ALso: http://www.mandatory.com/2013/03/12/flo ... the-comic/

Re: US 2016 Presidential Election
Bernie sounds like a reasonable chap. An egalitarian, at least at face value, which is somewhat promising.

Re: US 2016 Presidential Election
It probably also means he's the least likely to actually become president once the big corporate lobbies step in. But I agree. Isn't he also really old for a presidential candidate? So might be important who becomes his VP, in case there are health complications while he's in office. I think the only thing any sane person can agree on is that we don't want Trump as president. What an ugly, ignorant racist figure. And a bully, too.

Re: US 2016 Presidential Election
I don't like any of the candidates, including Bernie. But yea, Trump is probably toward the bottom, though Jeb Bush was pretty damned low as well. Blah... they all just annoy me. So many issues. At least many of the worst have dropped out at this point, though not the Trumpinator, unfortunately.
