Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
I've given up on buying games, there are some i'd want to buy/play, but i have no idea when i would do so. I have recieved the awesome FTL-game from the Oxmeister though, and i'm loving it, it's been keeping my busy the last couple of days. Basically i'm mainly screwing around on easy and trying different strategies. I think i've just realised that i probably should adapt my strategies to what i find, instead of starting with a certain plan/setup. If anyone wants cards, let me know, i don't plan on doing anything with them. Also leaving for Spain tuesday, so be fast to reply

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
hehe. Thankfully (?) the Steam sale got a bit stale after the first few days. I still bought a bunch of games, including... Batman: Arkham City Dishonored Endless Space Farcry 3 Max Payne GTA IV Gifted: Deadlight - thanks Peltz! Poker Night 2 - thanks Shiny! There may be more I've forgotten.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
I don't know about you guys, but I'm picking up games at crazy prices lately thanks to the overload of humble bundles. Last one I got was the Warner Bros one that had Arkham City +DLC + Arkham Asylum + DLC + Scribblenauts Unlimited + all FEAR games + some other fun stuff. 4 bucks for the entire thing. Even though I owned two games in it already on Steam, it was still a ridiculously good deal.
Also GoG.com has been running a "limited copies" sale for the past few days where I picked up things like Startopia, Don't Starve and Rogue Legacy for cheaps. Hell, some offers were even completely free!
It's a good time to be a PC gamer...too bad I don't have the time to actually play any of them hahaha.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
GoG is having their winter sale (presumably pre-empting Steam's Christmas sale) and has some good deals, but more importantly they are giving away Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics for free for at least another 24 hours. So be quick and grab them if you have a GoG account! Apparently it's one of Interplay's founders (Herve Caen) final 'fuck you' to Bethesda now that his ownership of the games is ending in a few weeks. Good times. GoG is pretty awesome btw...better prices than on Steam by and large (no pricing/zone adjustments), deep discounts, frequent free games giveaways and their catalogue of new games has been expanding nicely too. Oh and DRM free of course. http://www.gog.com/

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Thanks for the game Peltz!! I have to say though, most of the sales I've seen so far weren't THAT good. Around the 7.5 euro mark, which is on the edge of 'blindly throw money at it' for me.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
I picked up How to Survive (or something) for $0.75. I was kinda hemming and hawing, then saw it was less than a dollar and jumped at it. Picked up a few other games too. I may be done with Star Wars. I haven't actually played it in weeks.
Currently trying to finish off Crysis 2. It's fun, more or less, though some fights are a little frustrating. Also bashing my way through Hotline Miami and getting a little bit of Transistor in.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Both great games (Hotline Miama and Transistor), so cool stuff. RPS is giving away 200 dollars of steam credit every day for joining some social media stuff, so just gonna drop this here for all you social media owners http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/06 ... this-week/
