Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
I would be if Skyrim didn't go on sale tomorrow.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
I managed to restrain myself...bought one cheap game for myself, got a game from a friend and did him the favor back again. That was it. They weren't very good sales anyway...most games were still 7.5 € or above, which is too much. Christmas sale will be where it's at!

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
haha, your cheapness is always amazing. I ended up buying a 4-pack of dead island and someone bought me pay day: the heist. And I got Demolition: Inc for $2.50.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Hehe, yeah it's a shame you guys were on holiday or I would have tried to set up a 4-pack The Heist thing. Ah well, there'll be sales soon enough.
I'm sure you've all seen it, but Steam is giving away 10 games (assuming first 10) on 10 people's wish list every day...only thing you need to do to enter is visit the store page for the daily promotion and have at least 10 games on your wishlist. So make sure you've got enough on there and don't forget to make one click every day!

thanks for the head's up. I would've missed that. And yea, I've got 12 games on my wishlist.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
I'm assuming no one has had the one in a bazillion gazillion lucky shot to win 10 games yet? On related news, Orcs must Die is on sale today - maybe something for you Satis? Also, I have it on good authority that the Steam christmas sales start on December 19th this year and runtil January 2nd - unlike previous years where it was 24th-1st of January. I'm guessing Valve realized people are too busy actually celebrating christmas and already bought their games by then.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
they should do the whole advent calendar thing and start sales on December 1st. Would make more sense and they could totally theme it. Then again, I guess it might alienate some of their customers. *shrug*
BTW, Peltz was awesome enough to get me Orcs Must Die. What a guy. I'm so glad he's not Belgian like some people.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Haha, I did consider it, but then another friend who I hadn't bought anything for in a while put Orcs Must Die on his wishlist on the day of the sale, so I gifted it to him instead. Whatever, you'll get a christmas gift in a while anyway.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
lol, I don't really care. I've got so many freaking games to play, and probably 80 more hours of skyrim in me before that starts to get old.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
lol, not at all, sorry Peltz. :p If I'd had time, I would've played it on my vacation. Instead I chose to drink, but you know, gotta have priorities.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Anyone else find it a little sad that we all are getting each other gifts and none of us have time to play them really? Man we must be getting old!
