Re: Terraria
I didn't kill any shadow orb.
Btw, I found an underground jungle. It's halfway down the highway, then down the elevator shaft. I labelled it with a sign. Pwnt my ass, so avoiding it for now.
*edit* insofar as hosting the game for awhile, I'm cool with it. We'll need to get together and take your server down, send over the game world, and bring mine up. My hamachi ip is on the Hamachi client. I'll keep the password the same for clarity's sake.

Re: Terraria
Can someone send me the himachi vpn password? PM it via the forums or send it to my Steam account or something. I'm trying to get Shiny into the game, but spaced the password.

Re: Terraria
I replied on steam, don't know if it can help you any further though.
I'm going to sleep soon and then i'm leaving to France for a week. Gonna be tough, each time I see a sunflower, i already think of terraria.
Have fun and you'll probably be very powerful when i return, just make sure my tower doesn't look too shabby compared to yours.

Re: Terraria
Peltz provided the password (thanks Peltz).
FYI, I think the server is having some issues. I looted a chest, a heart, and several vases with nothing dropping. also had some issue picking up chests. Hopefully a server restart will fix the issues... just beware. I've messaged Oxy via Hamachi to do a server restart.

Re: Terraria
Its official, Estonia sucks balls when it comes to server hosting. Even a small server for terraria ended up in utter failure. Die fucking ISP DIE.

Re: Terraria
lol @ Peltz' reworking of J's house. Peltz, you do know that it looks like a massive penis now right? Including the red nose. (see screenshot) I had a little....accident. Me and Satis were dungeoneering, when i got killed by an unfortunate mix of circumstances (stealth enemies pusing me into other stealth enemies pushing me into a swinging spiked ball etc etc. Fucking knockback BS). Now, we were DEEP in the dungeon. And all my good gear was at the bottom. We tried going back with Satis to escort me, but that's impossible in the dungeon with all those teleporting enemies that shoot through walls and shit. Then Satis had to run. Still, he loaned me his demonite pick and I started digging AROUND the dungeon to get to the point where I dropped my stuff, so I could dig through the walls and ninja it and run back up. All in all a really shoddy plan, since I ONLY had a pickaxe. No torches, no healing potions, nor armor or weapons, nothing. But I started digging anyway. By a stroke of luck, I quickly came unto vases with torches and glowsticks. By recyling them i could keep going and see wtf I was doing. Tedious though. Then further along the way I find two golden chests and more stuff! W00t. Even found a mirror, which would allow me to teleport out the second I got my stuff. Very handy. I ran into quite a few tough-ish enemies (for a naked man) - skeletons, black slimes, mother slimes, undead miners...but the demonite pickaxe actually does enough damage to hold them off well. 400 HP didn't hurt either. After a looooooong dig, I see my stuff and dig through the walls. it's weird, as long as you stay outside the wall you hear normal dungeon music and even see "normal" enemies in the dungeon. Regular skeletons and bats etc. Then when you're halfway digging through the wall, the music changes and the dungeon enemies starts to spawn. So I mine like a madman, taking damage from all the wall-phasing projectiles and enemies, jump in, grab my stuff and teleport out. Turns out...only a fraction of my stuff was still there. And not the good stuff. My armor, my light sabre, ivy whip, thorn chakrum, rocket boots, everything all POOF. Just torches, a sword I'd just looted, and other stuff like healing potions. Goddammit. It would appear that only the stuff I got just before I died survived. I actually went back and looked for the rest near it, but no, it was really gone. Any idea how J? This is the first time I've seen stuff disappear without disconnecting the server. Oh and I also lost Starfury (!!) on a second trip down there. The horror. Screens!

Re: Terraria
Muhahhaa, lol at the penis, wasnt intentional, ill see it fixed at some point. The idea was just bring the tower higher than satis' tower.

Re: Terraria
FYI, Terraria updated today, so I had to update the dedicated server. Everything's working again, no worries. I did some spelunking into the very edges of the underworld. We now have a hell forge in my tower. And yea, I noticed how suddenly my tower isn't the largest any more. *sigh* It's ok... at some point I'll go crazy and build until I hit space.

Re: Terraria
Me and Satis explored hell (quite a bit of it) yesterday, and were doing pretty well until Satis faceplanted on some ash rock between 2 lava pools. You should have seen him getting cocky right before that....rocket jumping basically blind into lava pools and slinging around his Ivy whip. We took a long time to actually recover his gear but in the end did see without too many problems. Still, would have been funny if that had happened when he was alone (I actually had a nightmare yesterday about that happening to me in Hell). Hell isn't ALL that horrible btw. It's prolly not much harder than the dungeon or even the underground jungle. Well ok, maybe the fact that you can fall into laval every few seconds does it make kinda hard.

Re: Terraria
I spent a few hours today draining water from higher up into larger and large deposits, for eventually draining it into hell. When I left it, there was an absolutely ridiculous amount of water draining onto lava. However, it was going so slow I just gave up and quit. I imagine it's just the volume of liquids causing it to go slow. The game itself is fine... there seems to be some limiter on how much the water draining logic can chew up processor. At any rate, by tomorrow I imagine it'll have drained and there should be quite a bit of water pooling on the side of hell to the left of the hellevator.

Re: Terraria
Lol...Is there actually a bottom to hell? I mean even the two "seas" at the far east and west of the maps don't look like they're large enough to actually fill the underworld.

Re: Terraria
I've been exploring the left and right side of hell...left completely, right for a large part/ Conclusion: there is nothing beyond the centre. No more hell towers with shadow chests....

Re: Terraria
I tried to drain the left ocean, and it doesn't work. I checked the water tunnel down to hell, and apparently the water just evaporates as it touches the floor there. Doesn't pile up or make obsidian or anything. What's worse, there doesn't seem to be any change in the sea level on the surface either.
