Re: PC doesn't boot, now what?
I backed up a lot of school stuff and all of our pictures. But not my savegames. I probably have a floppy with BG saves somewhere though.

I wish it was more playable in MP. Well I guess we'll still have The Old Republic (if it doesn't turn out to be shit).

heh, we'll see. At least it's slated to come out in 2011. I hate waiting freaking years to find out if a game is crap.

lolz. Silly people with your silly caps. Actually, I feel very lucky that I don't have capped usage and will do my best to stay uncapped in the future. Caps are so wrong... they artificially limit the potential for the internet to transform people's lives. It's like you can only drive x miles in a car before you're forced to use a horse and buggy. It's redonk.

Re: PC doesn't boot, now what?
My interwebz is pretty fast for online gaming and even for downloading. BUT... I have noticed that upon downloading 1 or 2 GB at max speed (about 1MBps) the speed will be capped to about 250 kBps thereafter. It's annoying because some days I never use the internet, and other days I need to download a shit load of stuff (games, movies, pr0n, etc). I can't complain since half of that shit is... how should i put this... borrowed.

Re: PC doesn't boot, now what?
meh, it's not the ISP's business what it is you're downloading... they're just a dumb pipe. It's like people manually adjusting the speed limit of the road you're on depending on where it is you're going. fuck em... you paid for the road, you can drive the same speed every other mofo is going, even if you're going to a strip club. I have strong personal opinions on this matter.

Re: PC doesn't boot, now what?
haha. I presume you got the enhanced edition or whatever. Basically, a year or so after they released the Witcher, they released an upgrade pack that majorly improved the textures, added some missions, etc. It's a huge download. I bet that's part of the reason the download is so large.

Re: PC doesn't boot, now what?
I just found out that i have 120 Gig download space, i'm only at 22 now ... last time i checked the limit was at 10 or 15. Good thing my limit is much higher, i do wonder if we pay for that though. Gonna have my wife check that out. But now that i think about it, i do believed they upped the d'load limits ... good. So: Thx Shiny, you're the best AND i'm happy i can even install things
