Bioshock Infinite
Couldn't spot a thread in search about this; Basically this is the 'real' Bioshock 'sequel'.
Basically, Ken Levine (Irrational Games) didn't want anything to do with Bioshock 2, So making an exectutive decision of simply ignoring the rapture story line and moving swiftly on to Bioshock Infinite, a new story line, with several pre-release videos they have finally released a gameplay trailer. [Edited to make more sense]
Watch, and enjoy.

Re: Bioshock Infinite
Yeah I saw it, thanks for posting it!
I was really really skeptical about this - I mean Bioshock Infinite, lame - but it actually looks a lot better than it was presented. The whole atmosphere of early century American optimism and the sinister undercurrents of the floating city could make for a great game. Style and art doesn't look too shabby either.

Re: Bioshock Infinite
that was pretty amazing. From under the sea to in the air, apparently. Looks promising.

Re: Bioshock Infinite
So because the original creator thought the Bioshock story was done and didn't need a sequel... he went ahead and made a sequel? Because that's what I gather from Mole's post.

Re: Bioshock Infinite
I think the point was that the original story was done and he didn't see the point of continuing a storyline that had already ended. This is a completely new story with a hot chick with boobs instead of a bunch of little girls.

Oh. In that case, it's probably for the better.

Re: Bioshock Infinite
I've watched this video 3 time now, and each time - the moment the tram-track breaks and he hurtles toward 'earth' [?] and screams even the hairs on my head stand on end.
It was awesome enough in the release trailer;
I think the reason it seems so impressive [to me] is simple. At some point in their lives, most people have a dream about falling. Every 'original' gamer, knows that falling of a ledge means death. In this game hopefully falling will be a real fear but not an annoyance. It depends how scripted certain parts of the game are.
On top of that kinetically stealing an enemy shotgun, turning it around mid air and blasting his face away is just made out of awesome cake.

Re: Bioshock Infinite
Ok, now that I've actually watched all that footage, it looks great. Must remember this title in case I'll ever buy a mew computer.

Re: Bioshock Infinite
lol...damn man... you're so not a tech junky like some of us. That trailer looks awesome though. I've definitely gotten a lot more excited about Bioshock. All the brightness is great. The original got a bit oppressively dark and dank.
