Re: Mass Effect 2
Blah, ok. Anyway, I'm doing the encounter missions and all the side missions, though to be honest, I'm getting pretty bored of scanning planets. I have a ridiculous amount of ore now, but have an inner need to get all those solar systems to 100%. And besides, I may need that ore later, so I can't just leave that ore behind for later, as I'll have no way of knowing which rocks I've raped yet.
Anyway, I'm now on the citadel, poking around and doing side quests.

Re: Mass Effect 2
If you've got a shitload of ore, stop scanning planets. It'll only make you feel bad. Just visit it, check if it has an anomaly and if not, just leave again. That way you'll get all solar systems at 100% and not scan all the time. Also, some solar systems have asteroids as scannable bodies. So try flying through asteroid belts if you can figure out immediately why the system is still at 60%when you've done all planets in orbit. Personally I only scanned "rich" planets. The rest I just checked for anomalies.

Re: Mass Effect 2
oh...ok... I didn't know how much ore I'd really need, so I just kept looting in case it was ridiculous. I'm a little above 200k on everything but the eezo, which I'm around 20k at. *shrug* Well then... I guess that means I have to do less shuttling back forth to keep buying more freakin' probes.

Re: Mass Effect 2
Yeah, 200 for everything is more than enough (assmuing you've researched a few things already). 20k for eezo is plenty too, I think the most expensive eezo upgrades are like 4000-5000.

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/revie ... ect/701442The latest Mass Effect DLC (for $7) got a pretty good score on GT. And is mostly positively commented by GT users.

Re: Mass Effect 2
interesting. They mention that it's $7 for about 2 hours of gameplay. Initially I was skeptical, but that scales up pretty well if you compare it to an FPS. I may get this if I ever finish ME2.

Re: Mass Effect 2
so, anyway, I thought I'd comment a bit on my game and the game in general. I'm doing all the side missions and character missions and whatnot... I think I have one more character to unlock, and maybe a half dozen side missions left. Though the game is enjoyable, I'm not sure I see your fascination with it. It's ok, sure, and parts are well done, but a lot of it is really *yawn*. The fact I haven't played it in a week says something. I'll certainly be finishing the game, maybe this weekend, but I'm just not floored with its uber awesomeness. Maybe I'm getting ed?

Re: Mass Effect 2
I completed the game. I did all the side missions there are and explored the entire available universe. An enjoyable game, though I don't think I'm as gung-ho about it as Ox was. Seems like only he and I own it, though. Aight, spoilage Overall, I liked the game though. Good stuff. ME3 should be interesting when it's finally released in 2015. Hopefully I'll remember the story of ME2 better than I did the story of ME1.
