Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
In line with my "don't buy anything that isn't priced down by 75% or more before July 4th" creed, I haven't really bought much during the sales yet. Most daily offers didn't really interest me OR I already owned the games I would have bought. Let's hope for more luck in the coming days. 6€ for TF2 btw...it's that I gifted it to everyone I know who might somewhat be interested in it, or I'd be doing it again at that price!

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
So, we went down to Florida to visit Shiny's brother... it turns out he bought a PC not so long ago that's actually a pretty mean freakin' box.. it's a core i7 920 with a gtx260... so it's actually better for gaming than my machine. At any rate, we talked him into getting a Steam account and buy L4D2 and yesterday Shiny gifted him TF2. So hopefully we'll have another gamer soon enough.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
they've actually had various silly warning since their sales started. Quite entertaining. No sales I care about today, though. Maybe tomorrow they'll have something more interesting.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Just cause 2 is 50% off, so I picked it up. The Square Enix/Eidos pack is actually a really good deal, too. It includes Just Cause 2, it's massive number of crappy DLCs, plus all the Hitmans and a buttload of other games for like $80. Considering Just Cause2 by itself is normally $50, that's not bad. I was tempted, but decided otherwise.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
I picked up Red Faction: Guerilla for $5. I think I officially now have more games than I can ever play. My game list is a bit redunk... but I'm sure it doesn't touch Ox's.

You can organize it. You can create categories however you want them ie sandbox or online shooters, whatever suits you best.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Hehehe, my list is big, but it's not all that humungous. I'll count my steam games tonight, probably just slightly more than Satis. I was tempted to pick up RF on the last day too after passing up on it earlier, but decided against it for time reasons. But the game in itself did interest me. Ah well. Picked up 3-4 games for a grand total of 5-7€. Hot lootz! Love steam sales. I also bought my brother World of Goo for his crappy Mac after it became clear the thing couldn't work TF2.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Steam lists you (Ox) having 108 games. Now some of those might be expansions and its debatable whether they should be counted or not but the steam number is ok by me. It lists me having 96, Satis comes in with 87, Derf has spewed Jade on 80 games, The Porn king was distracted by 53 games, Ganz and Shiny duel at 33. Eleven B has 52 games, Lacessit has 41.
Again these figures might include some random demo or an expansion that requires the original game to play (for instance Half Life 2 comes with plenty of garbage).

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Wait I have a lot of non-steam games "imported" into steam (ie shortcuts) as it works as a general base for launching games for me. So maybe the count also includes those. And I have a lot of multi)game packs (UFO, Dawn of War, etc). It's no use. I'll just go die a nerd now.

Re: Steam sales thread and other bargain stuff
Mm yeah that number seems to be quite big for me (if you look at the actual games i have on it that i would play). I think half of my 33 are demos i downloaded and deleted shortly after.

I think I only have 11 steam games. I have other games but I only see 11 on Steam?
