Yeah I'm after Red Dead this year. Only game I'm actually really looking forward to, this year is bloody shit for games so far. And even with Red Dead I won't necessarily get it on release. I'm just praying for another game as good as GUN without the shortness.

I wouldn't exactly call it shit - Mass Effect 2 is already here and a triumph, DA : Awakening is coming in March, Starcraft 2 is announced for the first half of this year and Alpha Protocol won't be much longer either. And if we get PC-centric Assassin's Creed 2 releases in February or something.
That's probably the strongest line-up I've seen in ages for the first half of a year. But 80% of them will likely be pushed back another year, I suppose.

Here's gamespot AU hands on with the game. They talk alot about the gameworld and the similiarities with GTA4. There will be minigames customized to the era ie like shooting crows and cans for cash.

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/revie ... ead/100285Video Review of Red Dead Redemption, scored 9.5 and it looks damn good. Now all there is to do is wait for the announcement of PC version.

Re: Red Dead Redemption
Bah... it's Rockstar. It'll have a buttload of DRM, run like shit, and tell you to push console controller buttons.
/me doesn't like Rockstar any more

Re: Red Dead Redemption
There's a solution Satis: buy an Xbox controller for the PC. It's the best solution for those games that don't even pretend like they're trying to be a proper port, like GTA. You know the ones where it still says 'press A' and 'X' all the freaking time while you're trying to literally claw your way over the completely insanse standard keyboard layout. If it's a good port I'll always play mouse + keyboard tho. Damn consoles on my lawn!

Re: Red Dead Redemption
nah, not gonna happen. If it's that good of a game, I'll get it on the xbox. Otherwise, it can go to hell.

Re: Red Dead Redemption
I've read a few mini-reviews and it's all been pretty promising. Actually, from what I read at least, it sounds like Grand Theft Auto, but with horses in the wild west. Hey, that's cool with me. I wish there were more games set in little-used timeframes. Grand Theft Horse ftw! Speaking of which, wouldn't it be awesome to have an FPS or RTS where you're Cortez conquering the Mayans or Aztecs or whatever? That'd be cool as hell. Grand Theft Central America.
