Yea, that was really retarded when you were in the city with all the boats. Hopping from boat to boat then, oops...dead. Meanwhile you can fall from a roof with minimal problems.
To me the biggest beef was the fact the game was so linear and repetitive. There was the outside world to 'explore', but there was no point. Sounds like they may have addressed those problems with the multple contacts thing.

Not first info, I spoke to an ubisoft rep about it a few months back hah.
Nah seriously, can't wait for this game, it's rare I buy a console game, even rarer I buy it on day of release, but this is one I will. The first (that I still need to finish ) was just too much fun. A little short by all accounts, but just great. I mean I enjoyed the new Prince of Persia even though it is far too easy, simply because it uses the free running engine from Assassins Creed. I think that's actually why I haven't finished it yet, it's like GTA for me in that sense, except instead of getting distracted by the fun that is mowing down citizens in a car, I have fun just holding in A and running to see where I end up (and maybe assassinating a few people on the way )
I think the rep said they're not going to make the game 'bigger' as such, but like GTA IV attempt to make the world a bit more crowded and interesting, with more different things to do, as it says in that article, rather than the same 3 things over and over.
I kinda hope they don't change the fighting too much as well, I really like the sword fighting in #1, though once you have the hang of it, it is a little easy. Fun though. And gruesome

In the first one I didn't really "get" the fighting until at the end when you're fighting all the nights as part of the quest. That was so hard that I was forced to learn how to really FIGHT. Throw people, then hit em with the knives.

Lol screw that, just hold in block and then hit attack when one goes for you, works every time since they're too retarded to attack any way other than in turn

heh..I don't even remember any more, been too long. Anyway, I'll probably get the next one. The first wasn't bad... unless the reviews totally trash the next of course. However, this won't be one of those I have to run to the store for on release day.

Yeah, you can still ride your horse between cities but there's also fast travel.
A pretty good, short and amusing overview of the game's features is Yahtzee's "trashtalk" review over at zeropunctuation:
