got COD to play ball (thanks mate ), and played it for the first time yesterday. gotta say it ownz

i love the way that the total chaos of battle has been well portrayed, but the allied AI could be better (case in point, as british forces, defending the bridge against the tanks, running around with the anti tank weapons and getting shot to pieces due to really crappy covering fire )

Heh, np. And yeah, it owns. Although i got neighbours that came knocking to ask me what that "terrible noise" was, lol. Damn realistic warfare sounds. I still wish i had EAX or something, but can't have it all i suppose.

The mission you're talking about was just about the hardest one, idd. Since i tend to play lone ranger around there about all of the brits were killed (except for the unkillable one or two) before the tanks even arrived. I had to run back over the entire bridge to the bunker with 10 Germans using my back for a shooting target, while the two that were left were cowering behind a few sand bags. And if they did stand up to cover me they got shot down immedeately.

In the end i made it to the bunker with like 10 out of 100HP left, there i was alone up against hordes of german infantry which i could still hold off when inside the bunker, but i had to step outside a few times to frag tanks with the panzerfausts, of course. All in all it took me many tries, but did it in the end.

Overall i don't have too much complaints about the AI, they sometimes cleared a room before i was even there, which isn't always good either , but it shows they have skillz.

yeah, the AI overall is ok, just sucks at that bit

took about 5 goes to get past that part, got pissed off on the third attempt, ignored the orders to fall bac to the machine gun post and just laid out flat protecting the right flank, from that pile of boxex and weapons. used the bolt action rifle and just sniped the hell out of the germans. was getting very good at head shots. hehe

Hehe, glad you liked the game, i recall the feeling of euphoria when i raised the flag on the Reichstag, kicks ass. I'm not gonna play it in MP anymore, soz. I used to play some but it's not really innovative, plus you rarely find eachother on the larger maps.


For innovating MP, watch for Splinter Cell 2's MP options...the singleplayer is ownning pretty much so far....

thats a shame, it sounds like they really blew it, could have had great potential (the MP side of it i mean)

CoD 4 star wars MP mod...storm troopers vs rebels on tatooine, complete with lasers and music. Satis will love this.
