Aight, anyone who'd like personal custom BG2 items, post your request here; so item abilities and story and name. :)

This was originally planned for BJ and Inqui only for our MP game but blah, if anyone else wants a cool personal item then go ahead, there's like barely ppl here anyways aye. :)

For example:

->Satis-bitch-slapper

->/insert story, blabla Satis, blabla, bitch, slap bla bla/

->proficiency type: flail
->+2 THAC0
->+2 damage
->Additional 50000 damage vs. Satises
->/Insert other abilities/

"This wand was cursed by the famous Sorceror of the North called Derfilicus. Only, this item is so rare that in order to become cursed by its effects, you only need to glimpse at it (Instead of Equipping it).

Effects are not reversable by any spell/potion/device/sextoy.

Effects:

The Cursed Wand of Incompetence immediately levels down the "user"s Intelligence and Wisdom by 12 levels.

So you could like create the Sword of Arkanis Gauth, and have the proper abilites as opposed to the abilities you get when you nick his actual sword?

Would make the game really easy though, maybe i'd actually be able to solo on the hardest difficulty with a beastmaster or something :D

ox, is it possible to create a ring of spell storing? not to sure of the p' n p'
stats but possibly based on either number of spell levels stored, or a set number of slots. although it might be a biatch to figure out how to get the spells into it.. :?

either that or a ring with haste, stoneskin, imp inv, fireshield once a day useable by fighters. :wink:

Hehe, if i were to make that last one i'd make it a random choice (of one of those abilities) plus a 1% chance of becoming feebleminded. :roll:

I'm not sure what you mean with the spell-storing ring tho..can you explain that further? cos i'm in the dark here. :/

And yes Derf i'm gonna make them, with tools from teambg.net and dragonlance.tk :) In fact, your cursed wand of incompetence is already done. I do have a minor prob with it; because of engine limitations the counter counts tru back to 25, so: 10-12= 25 instead of 0 or -2. In the game itself you get the same problem with the rod of terror. Blah. :)

ok, this is just from memory..

a ring of spell storing has the ability to 'store', say, 4 or 5 spells that are cast 'into' the ring , i.e stoneskin, etc. the spells are stored in the ring until used, as special abilities, like the daystars sunray. no other spells can be inputed until all off the origional spells have been used up. once the ring is 'empty', it can be filled once again. its basically a serious possible edge, imagine a fighter with a ring storing, say breach, stoneskin, haste, etc. or spell turning if facing beholders..

mmm...may be to difficult to do.. :?

ahh!!! just found my old 2nd ed dungeon masters guide..

1)it can contain 1d4+1 spells
2)the spells are the same level as the mage/cleric who cast them
3)casting time of 5

apart from those exact points the description is spot on. :)
