Obviously you should play MOTB again from the start, this time doing all the sidequest aswell, then you will understand.
I found this particular quest quite amusing. You need high intimidate skill though, you can find a cape of charisma and a mask with +intimidate skill in the Veil.
Obsidian sucks. Again they managed to release a totally busted product.
1. Random crashes
2. All epic level traps appear as Short Swords in your inventory if you recover them.
3. Some more random clitches here and there.
