the site goes through bouts of slowness. Not my fault, my hosting provider... meh, you'll have to either live with it or find another host with at least 20GB of storage, MySQL, PHP5, cron, perl, 400GB of monthly transfer, and a web-based upload ability. For $100/year including domain renewal.

hehe...not that I'm aware of, at least. It's actually been pretty solid for me, with the occasional oddness like a page that doesn't load. A refresh fixes that for me and probably has to do with the load balancing my provider does. As for slowness, I seem to be lucky lately... it's been pretty snappy for me.
I take it you're having some issues?

Re: [Recycled Thread] Clankiller messed up?
hm, no, that's not normal. It implies the SQL connection failed, probably because the MySQL server was offline or unreachable. I'm afraid there's not a whole lot I can do about it, as it's on my provider's end. Well, other than switch providers. I've kinda been eyeballing a VPC host, though my costs would go from $8/month to $50/month. Still, it'd be nice to actually have snappy server response and some serious bandwidth. Anyway, how often are you seeing this?

Re: [Recycled Thread] Clankiller messed up?
Only happened one time and i could reach Clankiller 10 minutes after that when i tried again. Was just wondering if you had been doing stuff or it was the provider.

Provider in this case. Thanks for the report. Please let me know if you run into anything like that again.
