I just defragged, ran a scandisk (no errors) and re-installed the latest Ati drivers and what do you know, Blue Screen within 5 minutes after firing up Vanguard.
Gonna flash the BIOS now, so let's pray nothing goes wrong. If that doesn't change anything I'm gonna reset the case fan to 'high'. Probably also gonna re-apply the thermal paste...cos if this IS a heat issue, it just seems to get worse and worse. Well I'm not gonna re-apply the paste myself, i'll have it done.

you can't reapply thermal paste on your own? You nub.
just make sure you clean your cpu thoroughly and all that jazz. And do you not have the ability to monitor your cpu heat inside of windows?

Well, I'm back after two days of virtually no pc. On top of that, I got really sick and spent most of my time dying on the couch. I'm still not quite a 100% but give me a day or two and I'll be the old me again.
And I probably CAN re-apply the past but the problem is that, unlike your rich ass, I can't afford buying new parts in case I screw up badly. So as long as that's the case I prefer to outsource stuff like that.
I can monitor my cpu heat in windows and I haven't done so while gaming yet, but it wouldn't make too much sense: in rest, my cpu and mobo are both at about 30° C or 80 F...very normal values. Also, the crashing seems to get worse and worse. Right now I get a blue screen (not text) within 5 to 10 minutes of gaming. Yihaw. Even after I set my case fan back to 'high' which is pretty much the equivalent of a plane taking off.
Anyway, for weirder stuff check the technical forum. Ran into something outright bizarre.

Heh, you capitalist whore. Good luck grabbing cash! Wish I could trade you some armor for bags. *curses pc*
Been reading up on VG a bit, apparently all houses will be actually in the world, so not instanced. How will they do this? I mean, won't they run out of space eventually? Or are you supposed to start cities and stuff and build around a centre? Just wondering.
Also; any idea what a house costs? And what crafting class builds ships? Outfitters?

Come on ox, you saw my house in UO, you know how this works. Yes, they will run out of space, they have far less housing space than UO or Horizons it would seem (from the maps I've seen) but it would seem that they're going to be incredibly expensive; not only do you have to buy them to start with, but you also have to pay upkeep on them which won't be cheap.
Artificers make ships I think, as for houses it requires a bit of everyone (tailors for cloth items etc etc) but I guess til we find someone/know someone who has a house, its still all speculation.
Im planning to mass produce bags too; particularly if/when I can make pristine ones. Once I go leatherworker I'll be able to make saddlebags too. Should be good business I hope. Heck maybe even I'll be one of the first on Targonor to own a house lol

My bag market has hit a glut. Suddenly yesterday there were a crapload of bags up for sale. I blame supple and demand. So now I'm just gonna grind crafting again for a bit... I'm almost up to level 9. But I'm not sure if I want leatherworking or whatever the other option is. Anyone have a link that shows all the recipes?
