The service of Amazon is exceptionally good. I hear play.com is also quite good.

I've never had any issues and I used to buy a ton of books I could not find anywhere else on Amazon.com - and this christmas I did have to buy a few presents on the internet since I was unable to go out and shop due to illness.

In the case of Amazon, probably. They're big enough to probably not be oursourcing their payment stuff.
I've personally never used Amazon, but I've bought stuff from ebay and various online shops. So far I've had no problems. And the convenience factor is definetely a strong argument.

Funny enough, i never bought anything online before.
Apart from movietickets or for a sports event.
The fact i don't have VISA might have to do with it. But if i need something i still prefer to see it, hold it, touch it, lick it, ... you get the general idea

Remind me not to go to any of the same stores as you.

LOL..
Well, I never purchased smth online, for the simple reason here I can get such an card only in case I work permanent/long term + legally and have pretty high income. Not achieved yet. Very little have actually. As well, no one wanted to tell me exactly how am I supposed to pay without a card so I am bound to what I find in stores which I have access to.

Peltz, if you buy over Amazon it should be perfectly (in as far as that exists) safe. I don't own a credit card myself, but I've used other people's card to buy a shitload of stuff over amazon (book, cd's) and I never had any problems whatsoever. And it's relatively cheap. Amazon ftw.
Too bad that you have to take in account a long delivery time if you don't live in one of the Amazon 'hub' countries. Well, I assume Estonia isn't a hub country.
And credit cards...meh. I don't have any money so I don't need a credit card, yet. I found out yesterday that the bank blocked my regular card. so I had to ask the girl I was out with to pay for my drinks...yeah, I'm the king of dating.

Funny, in the US they start throwing credit card offers to you left and right regardless of employment about the age of what 14-15?
Once you hit college - the offers come everywhere - even the book store throws in credit card offers with the bag they put your books in.

I had the government-subsidised Royal Mail post office hassle me for getting one of their credit cards. I think credit cards are evil. They're just an excuse to spend money from the other side of the zero.

credit cards are evil only if you're not responsible. I probably have $15,000 available to me in credit cards, but I don't use it. In fact, I only use the credit cards when I have to, and I pay them off pretty rapidly. My dog is the most recent credit card adventure. Little biznitch. But anyway, assuming responsibility, they're extremely handy. They're like a prapproved loan.
