British security contractors wasting iraqi civilians
Basically a video was put online that allegedly shows British security forces randomly shooting civilian cars. It's a home video camera shooting out of the back window of a car and basically shows the people in the car shooting at random cars. Pretty screwed up stuff, actually. I may make the video available if people wanna see it.

GIVE US THE VIDEO NOW! Jeez man...no begging and pleading?
just to clarify, this isn't British military, it's private security contractors.
It's at home. I may post it later if I feel like it. :p

viva la revolucion!
Anyway, here you go.
Warning
Depicts adults actually shooting at and probably killing other adults. There is no blood nor dead bodies nor people falling over, but it's pretty obvious what's happening.

Ok.
The most concerning part of that for me was when one car crashed into the rear of another.
From the muzzle break, at first i thought it was an M16 family weapon, but on closer inspection i really cant tell. There is some kind of 4 inch body on the barell which arent on the M16's or the SA80.
Other than that, i heard one accent in the car that was almost clearly american. The radio accent sounded foreign, perhaps Iraqi police/army. The others i didnt make out.
Also unless theres more than one rifle in there, it seemed that he's spent more that 30 rounds on the first or second attack. Im assuming that when he brings the rifle in sight of the camera, he is reloading. I swear that sounds more that 30 rounds. Maybe he just stuffed more rounds in the mag.
Anyway, im new to the whole concept of private defence contractors. Personally it seems to me to be nothing more than mercenaries. It is a pathetically dated and moronic substitute for national troops.

my understanding is these contractors are hired by civilians to protect themselves, or their buildings or whatever. Since the military won't do it for them, I don't see a problem with the concept. I certainly have a problem with people randomly shooting at/killing civilians, though.
Yea, occasionally it seemed like alot of rounds firing. My thought on when you get the quick glimpse of the rifle was it was a spare rifle, already preloaded, and he was just grabbing it from a pile in the back seat or something. you wouldn't need to pull a rifle into the car and move its barrel into that position in order to reload it.
I didn't really freeze-frame it, but the barrel struck me as looking like an M4 or some other carbine. The fact it's full-auto means it can't be a US civilian weapon...fully automatic rifles are banned in the US. Of course, if you're on foreign soil, especially in a war zone, who knows what really applies.

It did sound like a full auto. At first he was shooting single rounds, but then it sounded like bursts. I doubt somehow that he would switch his weapon from single to burst over and over in such a way, so it must have been auto.
If it was civilians/private-business hiring these guys then thats more acceptable to me. What isnt acceptable however, is if the government had to hire them.
Ill have to go with what youre saying on the 'gun pile' thing. The 'reload' did seem a bit too quick for me anyway.
Well as for the model of the gun, im quite sure its not an SA80 or even an SA80 carbine. If you freeze frame youll see the same 'body' on the barrel. Maybe its an attatchment for an M16 style front grip?

You know what I thought of when watching the video?
Manufactered terrorism.
All these news reports we see of of Iraqi's getting killed are really these guys going around creating terrorism. See what I mean?
Also, that weapon doesnt sound like a M16 or US variety. Its fully automatic.
