the hilarity of the palestinian
ok, so, anyway, this'll be political and may even be considered 'rascist' by the morons of the liberal left, but anyway, I just thought I'd share some of my observations on the whole Palestinian situation.
Basically, Israel defended its existence as a nation, pwned some people, and grabbed big chunks of land in the early 70s or whatever. These chunks of land became known as the Gaza strip and West Bank.
Over the decades, the Palestinians became increasingly vioelnt and organized. Organized groups of terrorists (anyone that attacks civilians is a terrorist) waged a campaign of death and destruction in the name of Palestinian freedom. They demanded the removal of Israelis from their land and the founding of a Palestinian state. In my view, their stance was.
"We're nice people, but Israel is evil and killed my wife/children/gaylover. If Israel goes away, it'll all go back to normal."
Well, Israel went away. The result? Now these same dinkus dumbshits are killing each other. The 'Palestinian State' is a shambles of various 'Palestinian freedom' group fighting each other...not sure why. I'm sure they don't know why either. I'm certain someone or other will blame Israel.
Personally, I think the Palestinian 'people' are brainwashed children. They were brainwashed into joining terrorist groups. They were brainwashed into believing it was ok to kill women and children (though anyone killing their women and children must be satan or american or something). They were brainwashed into becoming suicide bombers...since...you know...someone that blows themselves into little bloody rascist scraps while taking out some kids obviously goes to heaven. And even the people that didn't join and are still working an 'honest' living watched all this shit happening and did nothing.
I think, in the end, the Palestinian state will collapse and someone will gobble it up. Probably not Israel. They've had enough of Palestinian hospitality. Maybe Syria or Egypt. And I bet that these people will be viewed as an invading army and treated the same way the Israelis were treated.
So, anyway, this long diatribe is my way as honoring the Palestinians are being a rather entertaining (and downright hilarious) commentary on the stupidity of modern man and how a 'race' of people can become so fixated on stupidity, death and destruction that they will completely destroy the goal they were aiming for. Congratulations on never managing to step out of the dark ages.

wowowowow i just read this no joking
Chinese chimp quits smoking after 16 years Mon Oct 3, 6:45 AM ET
A chimpanzee in a northwest China zoo has quit smoking after 16 years with the help of her keepers, official media reported.
The staff, worried about her declining health, weaned 27-year-old "Ai Ai" off tobacco by distracting her with entertainment and a tastier diet, Xinhua news agency said.
"The zoo keepers tried every way to divert the chimp's attention from cigarettes: a walk after breakfast, a music session after lunch and gym after dinner," Xinhua said.
She also got fried dishes and dumplings, as well as the usual diet of milk, bananas and rice, said one zoo keeper.
"I also put earphones on her so that she could enjoy some pop music from my walkman," he said.
"In the first few days, she squealed for cigarettes every now and then, but as her life became more colourful she gradually forgot about them altogether."
Xinhua attributed Ai Ai's habit to solitude and grief.
Living in a safari park in Shaanxi province, she had taken up smoking in 1989 shortly after her mate died, it said. Then she had become a chain smoker after her second mate died in 1997 and her daughter was moved to another zoo.
Xinhua did not say who had first given cigarettes to her or kept supplying them.
The Xian Evening News said the zoo was trying to find another mate for her.

@ Satis: while I obviously don't have any sociological or cultural authority, I think the difference in behavior you described between the Jews and the Palestinians can be largely linked to that difference in life standard. For a lack of better term.
Israel has a strictly organized state with a full-size working police force, good economic climate (so general prosperity); in short: they have means. Palestina, on the other hand, is hardly even a state. Because it has no real economy (many Palestinians work in Israel but have to live in Palestina, so their productivity is largely lost on the 'state') it depends on the leadership -who are invariably corrupt- to spread the funds they receive from international support. So basically there is minimal organization and state power and no money. In general there are no means at all to organize anything serious. The police force there is a joke.
Now, God knows I'm not a big fan of the police (heh), but their impact is definitely there. I think it's really pretty much down to all those factors. People in Israel have much less incentive to blow each other's heads off. They have a general lvl of wellbeing, a working police force ( = jail) , and also they don't get catapulted from total poverty into a fertile land all of a sudden. Remember that Gaza is all coastal area, which is a world of improvement from what most Palestinians were used to. Meh, anyway...people are morons.
And dunno at native Americans...I think it comes down to lucky breaks here and there to be honest. A long time ago, the Arab world was a shining beacon in terms of math and astrology. Europe was a dogmatic and backwards society. So things can turn around quickly.
Or what about the Greek? One could certainly say that hundreds of years after the ancient Greek civilization, ppl in Europe were actually less advanced than them. That's because the Romans thought the Greek were pussies with their philosophy, theoretical math etc. and completely abolished it (you should know that from Rome Total War, it's an event ).
I'm just saying: it all depends on someone having a brilliant idea at a given point. And brilliant ideas spark new ideas. Etc. what Arathorn mentioned (competitiveness) certainly is a factor too though.

It could be that Palestine is in a early stage of transition between being occupied and independent. Perhaps its just a matter of time until the Palestinian people re-asess their goals.
What you say about the generation being bought up to know only terrorism may be true though. I know a Northern Irish fella that fled to England because his dad was killed. He fled because he didnt want his children to be bought up with the killing culture around them and become involved.
