As i said: that's why they invented tables.
Mm i should rename my laptop to a tabletop perhaps. Since i'm not putting it on my lap (i'm explaining stuff here for people who might not understand my previous sentence ). I wonder who does btw. I haven't been in much situations were putting it on my lap seemed convenient.

Davis RL, Mostofi FK, Cluster of testicular cancer in police officers exposed to hand-held radar. Am J Ind Med 24(2):231-233, 1993. Within a cohort of 340 police officers, six incident cases of testicular cancer occurred between 1979 and 1991 (O/E 6.9; p < 0.001, Poisson distribution). Occupational use of hand-held radar was the only shared risk factor among all six officers, and all routinely held the radar gun directly in close proximity to their testicles. Health effects of occupational radar use have not been widely studied, and further research into a possible association with testicular cancer is warranted.

I can imagine that using that radar gun increases the risks of getting cancer. We had a whole course on radiation (of all kinds) and increased risks of getting cancer.
For instance pilots are only allowed to fly "x" number of days a year since at higher altitude you have a higher exposure to dangerous radiation (from space/sun that is).
Anyway i bet those police officers used those radars for kinky gay lovegames.
