Well, obviously the first thing to do when you've installed SP2 is disabling the Windows firewall again and the Security Centre (otherwise it will keep complaining every time you start up that automatic updates and the firewall are off).
But I couldn't find anything about the change of the Prefetch behaviour. I knew about that list but Windows XP itself isn't on it.

I did say 'most', you thankless bastards. Not all.
*grumbles*
Beside, B&W never worked with my mouse anyway. Crappy game.

I agree, espescially the fact that every time you start new game you've got to go through all those annoying tutorials. I believe they fixed it with a patch later, but isn't that something you can't think of immedeately?
Anyway, no idea where prefetch went to? Or is it still in c:\windows on your machines and am I fucked for a change?

I haven't installed SP2, so I can't honestly say. Have you searched your harddrive for 'prefetch'?

I believe I did, or maybe only the windows folder, can't remember, I'll do it again now.
EDIT: Nope, it still isn't there.

It hasn't exploded yet, but since I installed it the computer has a few times restarted for no appearent reason. I haven't heard of that problem anywhere else yet related to SP2, so I'm not sure if it's related.
Even if it's related, I'll wait for a patch from Microsoft, I'm not doing any important stuff atm anyway, and uninstalling it and the sometime later reinstalling it is too much fuss for me.

For the record...most of you have prolly already skimmed the list for their fav games, but some of the 'better' games that don't work under SP2
->Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
->Command & Conquer: Generals
->Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour
->Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2
->Earth & Beyond
->Freedom Force
->Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne
->Tribes 2
->Unreal Tournament 2003
->Unreal Tournament Game of the Year Edition
->Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos Collector's Edition
->Starcraft
So much for my vigilante duties. And yes, I copy-pasted that.

Well, on SP2. Pevils has sucsefully donwloaded and been installed. I have my auto updates turned on, but nothing. It came up with the "ready to download" thing. So I click ok. Been ages now and still no install.
