Well, I prepare for one examination on my faculty. Just one page of great tome hold following data about graphical canvases standards.
MDA (Monochrome Display Adapter)
Appear 1981. Shows 25 lines x 80 characters on monochrome display.
CGA (Color Graphics Adapter)
Appear 1981. Support 640x200 graphic, monochrome and 320x300 x 4 colors.

For once, GFreeman has posted something mildly interesting.
I remeber the old days of playing Tomb Raider on VGA, then, whammy, in came the old Pentium 100MHz upgrade and i was happily playing Tomb Raider 2 on the godsend SVGA.

Yea, SVGA rocked. CGA and EGA were back on my old 8088. I actually had a CGA card, but I could fake EGA inside of BASIC. I don't know how, but I had 16 color options (8 dark, 8 bright). Blah...I'm glad those days are gone.
