Hehe, bitches. I figured as much, but since they didn't sell any +1 axes anymore in the store where the smith is i decided to be lazy and buy his +2 one instead.
Dragons where relatively easy yeah, even tho i had someone tell me that the Golden dragon supposedly is tougher than Klauth (and thus not really meant to be killed) lol. I was obliged to myself and my alignment to bring it down tho. After killing Klauth for her, just like i did with the green dragon: killed the hill giant chieftain for him first, and then whacked him. I'm in permanent killing business.
Was stupid that i couldn't get to the eggs of both dragons after whacking them, it'd be cool to train a draon and ride it, w00t!
I used the dead blue dragon in the sphere and weakened Klauth yeah. But i also reloaded after that and took him without weakening him, for the challenge. Besides, i found Klauth to be a very reasonable person (well, dragon). Everyone was telling my char about how evil and diabolic he was; but he seemed a pretty ok dude to me. But alas, i already had a contract running on his head and was too lazy to go kill the golden dragin first and get its eggs.
I always love it when they're wasting their spells for the first 3-4 minutes of the fight, i mean, what are they trying to pull lol? They're only dangerous when they start to hit (got not so great AC). I can't imagine how a solo rogue could ever take the golden dragon or klauth, i mean, they'd be dead in like 4 hits.
I'm thinking of taking a cleric as henchman in SoU, not sure tho. I could use a little healing while kicking ass, i'm using that teleport stone way too much. (waste of time)
Ah, and i don't have called shot J, and bad AC, that might explain why i had so much more trouble with the fire giant king. He was like chopping and chopping with enormous speed, hitting almost every time. Overall my char is more based on defense than offense; feat-wise. I'll post his stats in a while, didn't play today.
P.S. For the record: does everyone play on D&D core rules, or on "normal"? just wondering ff i'm making life too hard for myself, or too soft. D&D core rules here btw.

Dunno how it will be in your game, but i just installed SoU after completing the game, and it's a whole new story and fresh start you take. So unless you're going to fight goblins with your überdwarf you'll have to start from scratch. Unless i missed something.

no, sou has no upgrading (in fact a shortage of decent weapons all together imo), which kinda sucks.
yeah, the end battle is famous for being lame, and so is sou's ending. i assume that bioware noticed this because hotu end boss is one tough biatch although i did finish it as a wizard, yet to do it melee.
nice charcter, i see you maxed out con, what was your str without magic? 20?

Nah, only a measly 18. I'm wearing the frost giant belt.
And SoU a lame ending as well eh? That's sux0r. But i'm still gonna create myself a char right now and start playing w00t! Might go for a less fighting oriented char, but then again...what's the point?

Hehe, that was what i was thinking too. I created several characters and in the end i decided to go for the dwarven fighter again. The whole henchman-thing is nothing for me i think, and what's a wizard without somebody to take the damage?
After i finish it, i might try assassin though, it's always been my favourite.

Is that actually a kit?? Daaaamn. I /have/ to get that new computer after all.
I tried to run NWN on my old one and it just doesn't handle the 3D.

lol...don't think it's an actual "kit" as such, but rather a "package" of the thief class. I.e. a selection of "assasin-ish" feats at character creation by the pc itself.
Hey Bj, little question: can i control henchmen their lvl-ing up? I mean, i'm planning on maybe take the little paladin girl along on and turn her into a blackguard.

the assasin is in as a prestige kit. they get some nice bonuses, such as cast invisibility and an extra form of sneak attack.
try a rogue/shadowdancer/assasin, then you can hide in plain sight and constantly sneak attack. tough in hotu though with all the true sight going on..
EDIT: little problem with that, you can't take the paladin girl as a henchman. nice plan though.
if the henchmen are multi classed you can instruct them to concentrate on a specific class or to keep it balanced. you can't tell them to choose a new class however.

yeah, if you take fighter levels you can wear heavy armour. i haven't the books with me but i don't think that any of the barbs special abilities suffer for wearing it
its actually best not to focus to early in sou, it isn't exactly dripping with decent weapons.
