Marginally on-topic...my mom gave me a biometric or diagnostic weighing scale for Christmas. It tells you your percentage of bodyfat, muscle mass and so on. I tried it for the first time today, and it fucking weirded me out. As I got on it, I suddenly saw an orange 'floater' spot on the wall/manual as I was looking straight at it. Since I assume the scale works with electric impulses to measure all that shit, I am guessing that's what caused it. It went away within 30 seconds but it freaked me out a bit. Not sure I am ever getting on that barefoot again (fyi barefoot is supposed to be the case if you want to do more than measure weight). Fucking hell. |

lol, I think you're a crackhead. Though you're correct that those things run a current through your body to measure your body fat or whatever, it's really, really minor. Not enough to have any effect on you. I think you're just hung over. Jeez, this thread makes me sound like an asshole. |

Yeah, makes you sound like one hahaha And yeah, I know it shouldn't be nearly enough to cause any sort of side effect (although it does state that people with pacemakers shouldn't use it), but it definitely did cause it. Weird as hell. Next time I use that thing I am going to make sure someone is around. |

So you can grab them and shock the crap out of them? Wait, this isn't some eastern european knockoff scale or something, right? Doesn't plug into the wall? |

Hahaha no no it's battery operated. Not car battery. And it was more to call the hospital if I seizure up and hit my head on the edge of the bath tub. |
