An interesting article on how to crack (hack) a wireless network secured with WPA. It's not overly technical, but fairly interesting. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/wir ... ,2981.html |

Damn, you're working on a master's thesis? Makes me feel not very scholarly accomplished. What're you studying? |

Well I can say I studied business administration but all my subjects are finished for two years now. My thesis is on building a theoretical model for situational analysis for cyber defence and more specifically on how often such a analysis should take place. In my opinion there is a problem with our country where we have very high security companies like banks and ISPs and IT companies and then theres total lack of info. The country consist of 95% of small companies and there's lack of information even on basic things like how many still use Windows XP. Under cyber defence i do not mean some single act or method used to end a cyber attack. I mean the whole collective effort of the nation to become more cyber attack resistant. Making sure companies use patched software, their employees receive training and such. On the scale of US it would equal to state size research and not the whole country. One has to keep in mind it takes a fighter jet to cross estonia in less than 10 minutes at max speed. |
