ok well ad aware has told me i have lop virus. and its in these locations: obj[18]=File : C:\System Volume Information\_restore{1DCACFF1-25EE-47AA-836B-FB3D95D3EB62}\RP569\A0188013.exe obj[19]=File : C:\System Volume Information\_restore{1DCACFF1-25EE-47AA-836B-FB3D95D3EB62}\RP569\A0188014.dll obj[20]=File : C:\System Volume Information\_restore{1DCACFF1-25EE-47AA-836B-FB3D95D3EB62}\RP569\A0188015.exe trouble is if i go to the respective folders, they're hidden... as in even with 'view hidden folders' in the folder options, i can't view them, the files go up to A0188012 only. any help on how to get rid of it? My antivirus doesn't clear it or even find it. gonna try the online virus scan from trend micro in a mo though. |

Trend Micro scans and repairs stuff from the system volume info, so I think it should do the job. |

Tried Hijack this, Spybot or Avast (or any other free virusscanner)? With those i manage to keep my computer more or less virus- and spywarefree. (notice the 'more or less'). Adaware doesn't impress me that much (i have it and still use it, but it doesn't seem to find as much as the others). |

blah....that directory it's in is your system restore folder. Turn off system restore: right-click my computer properties system restore tab check 'turn off' see if the directory still exists. If it does, delete it. Then turn it back on again if you must. |

She wants to know if you mean the entire directiory, or just the ones mentioned? Because if it's just the once mentioned they aren't visible, even with "view hidden folders" turned on. |
