http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc ... =3589&p=10 - No 2000 here. http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc ... =3589&p=12 - 1600C6 vs 2000C8 ------------------- The price difference on newegg for the same amount of ram (6gb) is $40 but the difference is very small aside from Dawn of War 2 which doesn't make much sense to me. Roughly 1frame for 40 bucks. This is just for reference though.

Re: Elevenbravo New PC
http://www.gigabyte-usa.com/Products/Mo ... -X58A-UD3RNot sure if this is going to be a problem but the DDR3 2000 does not match the official memory standards of the board. Here is a supported memory list from Gigabyte: http://www.gigabyte-usa.com/FileList/Me ... a-ud3r.pdfNotice that there are DDR3 2000 memories that seem to work with that mainboard so you should be ok but its kinda strange they do not show this on the memory standard page.

Re: Elevenbravo New PC
That's weird. To be honest, I don't pay much attention to memory compatibility... as long as it's the right type (DDR3) and the right number of pins, I just assume it'll work. So far that's stood me in good stead, but it's weird the board doesn't show DDR3 2000.

Re: Elevenbravo New PC
IRS just delivered but Im debating holding out until Nvidia's card comes out which would drop the price of some of ATI's cards. Might go ahead and get the rest of it here.

Re: Elevenbravo New PC
At work and bored. Going to look over all my stuffs again. Current thinking is to go with the cheaper 2 5770 for $300. I just know as soon as I buy a $400+ video card the price is going to drop like its hot or Nvidia's is going to blow the balls off ATI. March 26th(i think is the date Nvidia releases their new card) sure is a long time away.

Re: Elevenbravo New PC
Yea, I hear you, but that's why I'm sticking with my 8800gt for now. The future is too close and unpredictable right now. End of March/beginning of April should be an interesting time... and I'll know whether I should snatch up an ATI, nvidia, or wait even more.
I'm really hoping nvidia blows the socks off the gfx industry. What they have has potential... but I need proof.

I think Im just going to say F* it and buy my stuff. The price of 5870 has gone up on some brands. I can alway buy another 5870 and probably be good. I want to lock in my stuff before something goes out of stock! You can see my public wish list here. http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Publi ... r=13234052
