 Blank Screen. What's Fucked? O'cram has already fucked the PC i gave to him.
Basically, the monitor wont show anything when you switch the PC on.
I replaced the monitor to see if his monitor was dead, it's not. I got the same problem with my monitor on his PC.
I got him to buy a new graphics card. Same deal. Same black screen.
The PC does actually switch on. The monitor won't show anything. Not even a white blinking cursor.
I'm thinking the motherboard could be fucked.
Any clues?

Re: Blank Screen. What's Fucked? Bizarre. Judging by what you said, best I can think of is either mobo or HD. Does it sound like it's actually booting up, ie loading windows and stuff? Or does it just go "on" without much more?

Re: Blank Screen. What's Fucked? Put his GPU into your own rig and see if it works. If it works, take your PSU and put it in his rig and see if it makes a difference. It could be that the PSU is on its way out.

Re: Blank Screen. What's Fucked? yup, exactly what Peltz said.. start switching parts out to isolate what's broken. It's the only way to figure out what's going on. Is the PC posting? Assuming it made a beep when you turned it on before, is it doing it now? If not, anything from the RAM to the CPU to the PSU to the graphics card to the motherboard could be bad. Also, be sure to switch out the graphics cable if you haven't tried that... would suck if it was something like a bent pin.
