Summary:
*Trades blows with the HD5830 (and who cares about that one unless buying a used one)
*Price is insane.

yea, it's sad, nvidia is totally getting pwnt by AMD. I hope they manage to turn that crap around and become the badass they used to be. I remember when the GeForce came out and turned the graphics business on its head. Now... overpriced, under-performing monsters.

I think they got lost in their secondary projects like Tessalation and PhysX which mean pretty much nothing to the average gamer. In addition these technologies seem to be the playground of the rich and the famous because the smaller companies don't have the money for the licencing or the man power to implement the above mentioned.

they've been pretty seriously invested in GPGPU too, I suppose, and their latest cards are GPGPU monsters. I just hope they turn back to consumer graphics, even if the margins aren't as great.
