have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling it? Since you're not even getting past the creation screen, that might be the best thing to try first. Uninstall, reinstall, patch, maybe defrag the computer. If not, sorry, I don't know much about Icewind Dale, just generic game troubleshooting.

 I've been edited! Neway, I did a defrag, I tried, and it froze again. And I forgot to mention that it's not just the game that freezes, my pc doesn't respond either

does it only freeze for that game? Do you have any other 3d-intensive games? If it freezes on all 3d-intensive apps, then it's motherboard drivers, graphics drivers or directx. Hopefully. If it's just that game, there's something wrong with it. I suggest you seek an answer, young padawan. Let the guide you. |
