Re: The MMO topic
heheh... I liked Conan. It just got a bit monotonous after awhile. That and the lack of quests was annoying once you hit around level 35-40. Just running around killing things to try to level up isn't much fun... it's better to do it because some guy told you to. Age of Conan had boobs and some pretty gratuitous violence, though... both of which made it quite a bit more entertaining than it probably would have been otherwise. Btw, Shiny's rogue is now level 10, my Cleric is level 9. I think I've figured out the leveling and soul thing to some degree. I've figured out the map (more or less), and how to tell what quests are what and all that. The skill bar's too damned small though... you can have multiple bars, but not at the same time. I foresee this being a problem as I level up higher. Then again, I may just not have figured out how to configure the bars to be bigger, but I dunno.

Re: The MMO topic
Does either of you guys want a special hat? You can unlock a rift hat on TF2 if you get a certain achievement. You find a ticket for a 'well spun hat' that you can redeem in Rift. I found one and since I don't play Rift...just let me know and I'll give it to you on TF2 trade.

Re: The MMO topic
Sure I would love it but if someone else wants it no worries. I should probably just try to get the achievement haha.

Re: The MMO topic
I think shiny and I are the only 2 people with the game at this point. If she doesn't want it, I'll take it.

Re: The MMO topic
ah, bastard, you're not online. So, updated impressions on the game is... it's not bad, it's not great. It's enjoyable for now. We're level 15 I think at this point. Shiny ganks all the tin, copper, wood and flowers. I have more money. :p In fact, we're slowly getting to the point where we could buy a crappy horse... though that seems somewhat pointless with our tortoise mounts.

Re: The MMO topic
he is just jealous that while he is looking for the direction for our next set of quests I am harvesting to pass the time. I actually give him way more opportunity to harvest while he is around because he whines like a mule! He does not even have tree harvesting or plant harvesting. Plus I am offering him to actually craft since he likes that type of stuff while I gather the supplies - that makes sense doesn't it?

Haha, I'm staying out of this!! And I was online when I wrote that, you guys were living it up in Rift. If I'd poked either one of you I would have broken my non-preferential vows.

Re: The MMO topic
I have that ticket as well, so if you find me online you (Satis/Shiny) can have mine.
*edit* description says "achievement item: not tradeable" so i doubt we can pass it on though

Re: The MMO topic
Oh, you're right. Silly me. The only way to trade it is to get the 2-dollar 'gift wrap' from the store. If anyone gives me one I'll gladly give them the ticket, but I'm not gonna buy it myself. Probably easier to try and get it yourself in TF2 anyway, achievement isn't that hard: Riftwalker Kill an enemy within 5 seconds of you traveling through an Engineer's teleporter.

Re: The MMO topic
Since it's probably pretty useless anyway, i used the ticket and got a code.
Don't know if that code is actually attached to my steam account, if not you guys can try to use it (if you feel like it).
will send code in a message through steam, think shiny was online now

Re: The MMO topic
I don't think they can use it to claim a hat. I tried using my ticket and it gave me the warning that "the code will be permanently linked to your acount".
