Yes, it's because of this J: Demi-liches are immune to lvl 1-9 spells...but not to lvl 10  So a comet/dragon's breath will do a crapload of damage and take them down in a sec.  So yes, I mean on his gaxx form. Use your regular stuff on his lich form. (which will be tough enough as it is hehe)
I have had some issues with him not changing too...iirc it's because I damaged his lich form while he was in his dialogue (circlet shortly turning blue again) mode before he transforms to demi-lich. Bleh, anyway, give him hell.

I will, hopefully, if i get back in Athkatla. I've been running around on some outdoor maps, waiting for Darcin Cole to finish my armor. The Small Teeth Pass gave me a big scare, lots of troubles, frustration, but triumph in the end. End i found a Timestop Scroll.
About gaxx, often i noticed that kangaxx appears, spell triggers or contingencies himself invisible with protection from divination and some other spells. And about 5 minutes later he only starts talking, after he appears. And after having cast some Horrid Wiltings, timestops and what not. That messes things up as well i bet.
Never knew that lvl10 spells rip through everything. Very interesting. Still got a couple of big names on my 'To kill list': Gaxx, Firkraag, Bodhi. If Firkraag uses more or less the same tactics as the red dragon i encountered, he can consider himself dragonstew. Or maybe he'll just kick my ass

I think that the moment you cast your spell (Harm in this case), he attacks you (with a triple horrid wilting and project image or simulacrum spell, not to mention his wing buffet) so i doubt your cleric will have time (or health) to try to hit him.
