Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within
Since my desktop is dead and it's too warm for heavy duty gaming anyway (so I'm not in a rush to assemble the new PC) I've started playing some of my old school GoG adventures. You know, stuff that doesn't take too much 'physical input' (like a shooter or survival horror).
I'd already played the remake of the first GK game (Sins of the Fathers) on Steam and loved it. This is not a remake, but the original 1995 game. It's surprisingly well preserved. I mean the FMV is grainy as shit and it's video game acting, but still, the characters and setting are compelling (and beautiful at times) and overall the gameplay is fun.
Of course it does suffer from some "adventure game logic", but nothing a walkthrough can't fix when in a tight spot.
To give you an idea of the terribly acted FMV:
