Re: Reason for canned PC vs. Xbox 360 online play I think it really depends on what games you're playing. First person shooters... yes. RTS... yes. Driving games, probably not. Side scrollers and 2d fighting games? Probably about even.

Re: Reason for canned PC vs. Xbox 360 online play Of course...I even have an USB Xbox gamepad for sports games and some action/platformers that work much better on consoles. If I played racing games on a regular basis I'd probably use it for that too.
But for FPS, keyboard + mouse is king. That was pretty much the point of posting that - since FPS games are the biggest common denominator between PC and console MP gaming a lot of companies are trying/have tried to mix the crowds in MP but find that it's absolutely impossible. Even average FPS gamers on a PC wipe the floor with top console FPS players, mostly thanks to mouse aim. Have you ever tried to aim precisely with an Xbox or PS3 controller? It's horrible.
