Not sure if you've seen this, but a VR Half Life from the perspective of Alyx. I thought I'd stopped caring about Half Life after Valve abandoned it... again... But yea, this looks pretty cool.

I always thought that they would revive Half-Life if they either had new tech they wanted to promote or when the competition got tough. I guess they chose tech.

Is it compatible with your VR gear Satis? It almost makes me want to buy a headset. Almost, if I wasn't such a cheap bastard.

At least according to Wikipedia, it does support my headset. I haven't used that thing in months. I wish they were quicker/easier to use and "zero", but I knew going in that I was an early adopter. I'm good with that. I think VR is going to be amazing when it (finally) takes off for real. Then again, people have been saying that about Linux for nearly 30 years, so who knows.

People also used to say that about Betamax and Laserdiscs.

I kid haha. Pretty jealous you got a headset and I don't, if anything! But yeah I'm also happy to not be a trailblazer and adopt the tech when it's become more widely adopted and comes at a better price point.

I am thinking of buying a superwide screen though. Those things look so sexy...
